You were frowning at the main mast. I will climb you, and make it to the crow’s nest. You’ve tried jumping up to the wood and climbing straight up, except you couldn’t get your little claws to stick in the wood. You kept trying anyway.

While you were busy attempting (and failing) to climb the mast, Robin walked up behind you. So cute, she thought, before saying with a straight face, “(name), why are you trying to climb the mast?”

You turned around and pouted at her, trying to convey you wanted to go into the crow’s nest. “(name),  I don’t think you’ll want to go up there.” Robin’s face remained neutral, with a slight smile. “You could get up there, and a large bird might take you away to eat you later. Or you could fall from such a high height, and then splatter onto the deck like an overripe tomato. Or you could be blown off the ship from such a height, into the ocean, where you’d become Sea King fodder.”

You paled after Robin’s ‘what-if’s. But you didn’t let that stop you. On another day, you noticed that there was netting that leads up to the crow’s nest. You struggled getting up to the netting, but with a couple of boxes you were slowly worming your way up. Once you got up there, you noticed that you couldn’t get into the crow’s nest. You frown, but soon get distracted when a bird lands on one of the posts. You crawl up to it, only for it to fly away. It was at this point where you looked down. All of the scary scenarios Robin told you came to mind, and you were paralyzed. The only thing you could do was to yell for help.

Everyone was on the deck, doing some of their normal routines when they heard your cries. Looking up, Nami was the first to say, “How did (name) get up there?”

“She says she’s really scared,” Chopper said worriedly. He started pacing at the base of the mast, hooves on his head and sweating bullets.

“How will we get her down?” Nami was frowning, since she didn’t want to try walking out where she could fall.

“We could just cut the mast down,” Zoro said nonchalantly. Franky was greatly upset with Zoro’s idea, with Sanji seconding him saying, “Stupid Marimo!”

“Uuhh… I can’t go. I have the can’t-do-height-or-I’ll-die disease.” Usopp was visibly shaking.

“I can understand (name)’s predicament. Last time I looked out the crow’s nest windows, I thought I felt my bones shaking.” Brook then started to laugh, saying, “Yohoho, skull joke!”

Before anyone could retort what Brook said, Luffy had stretched to grab next to where you were and shot up. His idea was to grab you and then fall back down, making himself a cushion before landing. The idea was great, if Luffy didn’t shoot past where you were, and end up tying himself next to you. “Someooonnneee,” Luffy cried out, “Help meeeeee.”

While the rest of the crew was sighing at their captain’s antics, Robin crosses her arms and muttered something under her breath. Next thing you know, a hand gently picks you up, and gives you to another hand. The process continues, and you see a line of hands that go all the way down to the deck of the ship. Once you’re set down, you rush over to Robin. She picks you up, and you begin bawling and snuggling up to her for comfort.

Robin was surprised by what you were doing, and accidently murmured, “S-so… cute…” No one really noticed, because they were busy talking about how to recue both you and Luffy. He, meanwhile, had been wriggling for a while, when he suddenly came loose and fell to the deck. Everyone then realized that you and Luffy made it back down. With the problem having solved itself, everyone began relaxing again. Robin pulled you up to look face-to-face and said, “I was able to get you down today, but I might not always be there. Promise me you won’t try that again?”

You sniffled, which Robin took for a yes. However, the next morning started with you crying for help from the mast.

Robin frowned, and said, “I thought you agreed not to do that again.”

Chopper looked at Robin with confusion. “(name) never said she wouldn’t try again.”
