??? x Kitten!Reader: Help!

    Your crew landed on another island. This would be the first one you would be going on since officially joining the Straw Hats. Chopper fussed over you, worried that someone would kidnap you and take you away to be their ‘pet’. You figured he was being ridiculous, and wandered into town.  There were so many new sights and sounds! Yet you tried following Luffy, since he was looking to find a restaurant with meat. You yourself were rather hungry, and thought Luffy was on the right track. Yet this strange fluttery thing came across your path, which demanded more attention than Luffy. You chased the devious fluttery thing into an alleyway.

    You were so focused on the thing, you jumped when you heard, “Aaawwww… So cute!” You whipped around, puffing up while looking for the thing that spoke. “I could just eat you up!” You puffed up even more, thinking, I don’t want to be eaten! “C’mere you!”

    Before you react, you were suddenly picked up. You thrashed, but the thing that had you had a firm grip. “I absolutely adore kittens like you! Oh, if only I could keep you with me…” You were held under your armpits and turned to look at your abductor. You were surprised it was a girl. She was thinking deeply, with a slight frown on her face. She sighed, going, “Oh Kitty, why do you have to be so cute?”

    Personally, you were frowning, thinking, I don’t like being held in this position a whole lot. You meowed, trying to say, Put me down.

    “I know Kitty, I like you too,” the (delusional) girl said. “But I can’t keep you. I move around too much, and you’d get in danger from my work.” She frowned again, then a smile broke out across her face. “If I gave you to him, he would let me keep you for sure!”

    There was nothing you could do to escape the fate Chopper warned you of earlier. As she held you to her chest, you wept about never seeing your crew, and regretted how you never had the chance to get to know them all. You figured you fate was to be a house cat, stuck inside all day without the slightest chance for adventure.

    She slowed down, outside some shop on the main street. She walked in, then straight to the back. From there, she opened a hidden trap door and went under the shop. Against one wall, she pressed a brick, which opened a secret door to a tunnel. She rushed to a random room and set you down.

    “Now Kitty, I need you to behave while I set everything up, OK?” You never had the chance to voice your opinion, for she zoomed out of the room. You tried opening the door, but you were too little to make it budge. With escape thoroughly blocked, you explored the room. To your surprise, the room was very clean. The bed was made, with nary a wrinkle in sight. On her desk, she had drawings of a sun, and weird interpretations of people. You couldn’t make heads or tails on what the people were supposed to be, if that’s what they were. You wandered over to her dresser, which had a pair of goggles and a hat. You decide to crawl under the hat, and curled up to sleep.

    You awoke again to hearing the girl call out for you. You closed your eyes again, deciding to ignore the kidnapper, but she eventually found you. You huffed, annoyed she was disturbing you, but she just grabbed you and wandered back to her desk.

    When she set you down, she grabbed a blue ribbon and tied it around your neck, with a bow on the back. You weren’t sure if you should play along, or take the annoying thing off your neck. Before you could finally make a decision, she placed you in a box with air holes.

    “Now be quiet Kitty,” she whispered thru an air hole. “Don’t mess up the surprise.”

    You were afraid what messing up the surprise would mean for you, so you stayed silent while she carried you in the box. She walked for a bit, then stopped. The next thing you hear is, “What’s wrong?”

    “I just met my brother in town today.” The other voice sounded masculine, with a slight softness to it.

    “He’s in town? I didn’t think he would stop here. How’s he been?”

    “Even though he was glad to see me, he was rather upset. One of his friends is missing.”

    “How terrible!”

    “I offered to help him, but he’s certain his friend is probably long gone now.” The guy sighed, rather frustrated.

    “Well, I think we should go visit him. I mean, what else could we do to cheer him up?”

    “That sound like a good idea.” With his final comment, the girl was walking again. You couldn’t keep track of all the twist and turns, and ended up being completely confused as to where you were going. With all the walking, you fell asleep.

    ~Baby time skippy~

    You were a little groggy getting up, and it sounded like you were coming in the middle of the conversation.

    “He’s still gone yet, right?” The first voice asked.

    “Yes. They’re checking to see if our missing friend is in one of the caves on the island.” Another voice responded.

    “I’m sorry this happened on a day like today. I’m sure his brother really wanted to introduce your friend to him. Maybe you’ll find them by nightfall?” The first voice went up in earnest.

    “I don’t know about that. I’ve tried looking as far as possible with my power, but our friend must be somewhere far away if I can’t find them.”

    “Well, let’s give them something nice to come back to.”

    “We’re almost set up, as it is. Should I call them back?”

    “Of course! What’s the point of a surprise if he never comes back to see it!”

    “Ah. Well, sounds like they were planning on coming back right now anyway.”

    “Crap! Everyone hide!”

    Your box was jostled roughly, which woke you all the way up. You were about to retort, when you heard people talking a little farther off. More like one person talking, but still.

    “Don’t worry, we’ll find your friend before the day is out.” It was the guy’s voice from earlier. He seemed to continue his string of comforting comments to the other person, who remained unresponsive. As you heard them walk on some wooden surface, the guy says, “Where is everybody?”

    “SURPRISE!!!!!!!!!!” Everyone on the deck screamed.

    The girl’s screaming drowned everyone else out. She then said, “I figured you would forget this day, again. So I called up your brother to help set this up. Now, before we do anything, I need you to open this up for me.”

    “No, you cannot open his present for him.” The girl spoke sternly to someone then continued speaking to the guy. “I found this, and I thought you would like it. Besides, I think she would like to be a part of the celebration too.”

    The guy chuckled. “If you insist…” You were transferred from her to him. You heard him untie something, and then lifted the lid of the box. Looking up, the first thing you saw was a tall, blue hat, with goggles. He had a scar going over the left side of his face, with blue eyes and blonde hair.

    He sported a very puzzled expression. Looking up and off to his right, he asked, “Koala, why did you get me a cat?”

    “Well,” the girl- Koala, started. “I found her playing in an alleyway with a butterfly, and I thought you would like a pet.”

    Blue hat smirked. “I’m certain the person wanting her as a pet was you, wasn’t it?”

    “Nooooo…” she whined. “Anyway, pull her out of the box. Everyone’s dying to see her!”

    Blue Hat grabbed you, making sure your back feet were well supported. You closed your eyes, not wanting to see what horrible fate was in store for you.

    Currently, the sound of fate was silent. Your heartbeat picked up, since you worried this new crowd would smother you to death, like Koala. The first thing to break the silence was “(NNNNNNAAAAAMMMEEEEE)!”

    You open your eyes to see Luffy in front of you, bawling, along with Chopper, Usopp, Brook, and Franky. The rest of the Straw Hats were shocked to see you, while Koala was just confused to everyone’s reactions.

    Blue Hat was also lost to everyone’s reactions, but you were the first to react. You jumped out of his arms and cried, snuggling up to Luffy. Blue Hat slowly started speaking again. “So… she was the friend you thought was kidnapped?” Luffy sniffed and shook his head, which got a chuckle from Blue Hat. “Who knew we’d find (name) as my birthday present?”

    Everyone laughed at him, while Koala blushed ten different shade of red from embarrassment, muttering, “I didn’t know she…” You purred, and rubbed against one of Koala’s legs, telling her you forgave her. From there on out, the party began in full swing. Zoro was already drinking sake, while Sanji brought out a birthday cake. Brook began playing happy birthday on his violin, which everyone sang to. You learned Blue Hat’s name was Sabo. You jumped up into his lap, looking at the candles in the cake. Sabo offered you to blow out one of them. You got up on the table, walked up to one of the candles, puffed your cheeks with air, and then…

    You ended up face planting into the cake. You originally went to blow out the candle, but you stepped on something slippery, which lead to the face plant. Everyone was laughing at you, while you tried to cover up your embarrassment by cleaning you face. Sabo went and finished blowing out the candles, and the party continued.

    You played with Luffy, Usopp, and Chopper on the deck, while Franky changed his hairstyle to look like a multicolored Afro. Brook was playing Binks’ Sake, and Nami, Robin, Koala, and Sabo were off talking next to the mast.

    ~Extended Ending~

    “Where’s (name)?” Luffy panicked.

    “She couldn’t have gotten that far. She was on deck for the whole evening,” Koala said soothingly.

    “But what about right now?” Chopper was pacing back and forth, too unsettled to stop.

    Sabo was a bit busy at the moment. Koala stole his hat earlier that night, and he was determined to find it. Up in Nami’s tangerine trees, Sabo glimpsed blue fabric. He went to pick up his knocked over hat, only to see your tail hanging out.
